BAPTISM

​Baptism is the first sacrament for Catholics, marking the start of our faith journey. It is described as the foundation of Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door to other sacraments.

Baptism Schedule

• Baptisms are held throughout the Liturgical year.
• Private baptisms are not available due to priest availability.
• No baptisms during Advent (December 1-31, 2024) and Lent (March 5-April 25, 2025). Please plan accordingly.

Preparation for Baptism

• Parents must be registered parish members and attend a preparation course.
• The Baptismal Preparation Course includes 2 sessions covering the importance of Baptism, naming, Godparents, symbols, and ceremony logistics.
• Courses are bi-monthly as per the schedule.

Godparent Requirements

• Godparents must complete the Diocesan Godparent/Sponsor Attestation Form.
• Submit the form to the parish office at least two weeks before the baptism.
• Forms can be emailed to Trish Pabis or dropped off at the parish office, Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Baptismal Preparation Courses

Course Details:

• Format: Virtual via ZOOM
• Schedule: Monday evenings, 6 pm - 8 pm

                            (Start time may vary)

• Attendance: Both sessions required

• September 9 & 16
• November 4 & 11
• January 6 & 13
• March 3 & 10
• May 5 & 12
• June 30 & July 7
