The Phone Buddy Ministry offers compassionate connection and pastoral care to homebound seniors and those who may not have nearby family or friends to regularly check in on them. Volunteers serve as a consistent and caring presence through daily phone calls, texts, or emails—offering not only companionship but also a layer of safety and peace of mind.
Volunteers commit to reaching out at agreed-upon times and are prepared to follow up with emergency contacts or, if necessary, emergency services if their assigned person cannot be reached. This ministry is ideal for baptized, practicing Catholics who are patient, reliable, and have a heart for listening and service. Training, guidance, and ongoing support are provided, along with all necessary clearances and orientation. With just a few minutes a day, you can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life through a simple, Christ-centered act of love and presence.
