The idea of pilgrimages and indulgences is central to jubilee years. For the Jubilee of Hope, participation in a pilgrimage to one of the local sites enables one to
obtain the Jubilee Indulgence.
To obtain the indulgence, a pilgrimage can be made individually, or as a group, to any of the designated Jubilee sites, both within the diocese and outside of it. Once at the Jubilee site, the pilgrim would participate
in one of the following options:

Mass
Liturgy of the Word
Eucharistic adoration (to conclude with an Our Father, Profession of Faith, and Invocation to Mary)
Penitential celebration ending in individual confession
Liturgy of the Hours
Stations of the Cross
Praying the rosary
Recitation of the Akathist Hymn

An indulgence would be granted if the pilgrim, who is in a state of grace, makes the pilgrimage, participates in one of the above options, receives Holy Communion, and prays for the intentions of Pope Leo XIV (while having the intention to obtain the indulgence).
