Music Ministry
Lessons and Carols, 2024
what is the purpose of a choir? The choir plays an important role both within and beyond the liturgy. Above all, it leads the congregation’s responses and acclamations, helping us enter more deeply into prayer. By preparing beautiful and challenging music, the choir glorifies God and uplifts the parish community. It is also a small faith community within the parish—offering its members a place of spiritual growth, fellowship, and encouragement.
The only thing missing is you!Join Our Music Ministry
Do you sing or play an instrument? We welcome people of all skill levels—no need to read music to join! For more information, please speak with Mark Wilson after Mass or contact us using the information below. Choir Commitment
We love adding instruments to our liturgy! Players should be proficient, practice independently, and arrive 30 minutes before the Mass they serve at. Cantors Because cantors serve in a leadership role, they must first sing with the Sunday choir for at least 6 months before being appointed. Even when not scheduled as cantor, members are encouraged to continue singing with the choir.
